The piston and rod are in usable condition. They were removed from a compressor that was still running and always kept indoors. The rings are considered past their service life, as the compressor was using an excessive amount of oil.
The Connecting Rod is an obsolete item no longer available from the manufacturer, but a different part number connecting rod is offered as a serviceable replacement. However, the new part number rod is narrower than the original. The piston is still available from surplus parts suppliers.
